Why we built Capasight
The warning was already in the data.
Our experience spans enterprise portfolio governance, delivery leadership, coaching and the engineering behind reliable reporting. Working together across the UK and US, we kept encountering the same problem: the plan said one thing, while the work beneath it was becoming something else.
An estimate would shape a roadmap early on. As teams refined the work, demand changed, but the original commitment stayed in place. Plans and backlogs were reviewed on different schedules, by different people, without a consistent way to compare them. By the time the gap reached a steering committee, the choices were harder.
We worked on that problem from both sides: improving Jira data and automating capacity forecasting, while building the coaching, governance and delivery practices that help organisations act on what the data shows.
See the gap early, while responding to it is still an ordinary planning decision.
The environments that shaped us
Complex portfolios. Real commitments.
Our shared background includes financial services and payments, from card networks and settlement to disputes, alongside delivery transformation in retail and e-commerce. Work through mergers and acquisitions sharpened our focus on the assumptions behind a portfolio: which dates can be relied on, what the work has become, and whether the teams have the capacity to deliver it.
Experience in regulated environments also shapes how we think about governance, data quality and the questions organisations need answered before introducing a new tool.
That experience is built into Capasight.
Capasight brings estimates, emerging work and capacity into view together, helping people recognise where the plan is moving and decide what to do next. The aim is to make the comparisons part of everyday planning, with enough context to support a useful conversation.
We bring a perspective shaped on both sides of the Atlantic, with a shared focus on making portfolio information useful to the people accountable for delivery.
